The Oron Union Youth Wing is the official youth arm of the Oron Union, established to mobilise, organise and empower young Oro men and women between the ages of 18 and 40 across the five LGAs and the global diaspora. Founded on the conviction that the future of the Oro Nation depends on the energy, creativity and commitment of its youth, the Wing operates as an autonomous but affiliated body under the Oron Union Constitution.
The Wing drives skills acquisition programmes, civic education, cultural preservation activities and community development projects tailored to the needs and ambitions of young Oro people. It serves as a training ground for future Union leaders, with many past Youth Wing presidents going on to serve at the highest levels of Oron Union governance.
Youth Wing elections are held every two years in accordance with the Union's democratic charter. All registered members of the Wing who have paid their dues are eligible to vote and stand for office.
The executive committee of the Youth Wing serves a two-year term.
The Youth Wing operates active branches across all five LGAs of the Oro Nation, with domestic chapters in Nigeria's major cities and international chapters across the diaspora.
Youth Wing elections are conducted through the Oron Union secure digital voting platform. All registered Youth Wing members with paid dues are eligible to vote. Candidates must be fully registered members in good standing.
